Profile

b. 1986, HK.

Hello!  I’m Diana (she/her/y’all).

Puerto Rico, Isla Nublar Region

As a strategy-driven leader, my passion lies in transforming the human experience through design.

Originally from Austin, Texas, I’ve been active throughout the design industry at every level — contributing to local, state, and national campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands. I’ve had the honor of being a guest lecturer regarding the creative process at a few local and national conferences and at the collegiate level. My work has been featured in PRINT magazine and various professional design publications. More recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with the Washington Post Brand Studio, helping to earn the team a prestigious Gold Telly award.

I have a natural inclination towards leadership roles and love to collaborate — building high-performance, cross-disciplined teams and guiding third-party talent. I treat clients as partners, working closely with them to produce award-winning brand experiences that resonate with customers and inspire trust in the brands they love. My design solutions are crafted to align with creative and brand strategies for meaningful impact, and I have a knack for establishing and managing comprehensive, industry-leading brand design systems.

As a staunch creative collaborator, I’m innately curious and enjoy learning. I have a keen eye for detail and tackle tough problems with enthusiasm. I’m a maker at heart; in addition to design and brand strategy, I also have a photography and art direction background. When I'm not immersed in creative, culinary, and travel pursuits, you’ll find me entertaining with friends and family. I still call Austin home and am open to new local opportunities or working remotely for great companies from coast to coast.

Don’t Take Just My Word For It: testimonials

What I love most about Diana is her ability to ask all the right questions. She is naturally inquisitive, allowing her to be an excellent collaborator and leader. Diana’s clients feel heard and her direct reports and team members have opportunities to provide valuable insights. The answers to Diana’s questions inform her design decisions, and you can tell by looking at the finished product that she carefully considered the brief, worked hand-in-hand with stakeholders, and then thoughtfully crafted and executed a strategy that resonates.

Digital Diva. Graphic Goddess. BBQ aficionado. There are many titles Diana is known by, and I also have the privilege of calling her one more... Friend. Diana has an easy going manner that immediately puts clients at ease and instills them with confidence. When she joined the team at National Instruments, she quickly became a strategic and valuable addition, owning the global look and feel for our world wide events known as NIWeek and NIDays. She is a pleasure to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate having her on my team again.

As the Creative Director for IBM Systems, Diana painted a clear vision for translating IBM’s design language principles and standards into the central character of IBM Systems brand. On every project, she was my creative partner in bringing quality, consistency, and ingenuity to IBM Systems content. We were in a unique position within IBM to showcase how two disciplines — Content and Design — could work together to strategically deliver compelling storytelling, creative assets, and brand integrity. Our Gold Telly for our work with Washington Post Brand Studio is a key highlight of that partnership and drive for brand excellence.

Diana is one of those rare employees who brings two solid, value-building skill sets together in one perfect package. She is an excellent designer with expertise in brand building and ambassadorship. Plus, her people skills are unmatched which makes her a superior team leader. She is very empathetic and finds a way to relate with every person on the team and brings the best work out of them… her work ethic is exceptional and I know she will always make sure that she and her team get the project done and done well.
